On April 2, 2025, the Laos Digital Week grandly commenced at the Laos National Convention Center. On the opening day, Boviengkham Vongdara, Minister of Technology and Communications of Laos, led a government delegation to inspect CAIH's exhibition area. Zhong Neng, Co-President of CAIH, systematically introduced the company's digital achievements: in the field of independent R&D, the core AI platform "Cloud Xi Brain" boasts comprehensive capabilities in computing power cluster management, data governance, model development, and intelligent application construction; in local practices, the company has developed the Laos Smart Government Platform and established the Laos Enterprise Credit Information Platform to provide robust support for corporate credit evaluation and management; in ecological collaborative innovation, the company has partnered with leading domestic AI vertical application model enterprises such as Baiwangyun, Mianwall Technology, Guanglv Yuanjing, Wanwei Digital, and Ling Universe to collaborate in smart finance, education, culture, tourism, and transportation. On the morning of April 2, Zhao Zhigang met with Boviengkham Vongdara at the Laos National Convention Center. Zhao introduced the progress of AI collaboration between Guangxi and Laos, as well as the latest developments in the research of Laos' national foundational AI models. He also proposed suggestions for future cooperation in data, computing power, models, applications, and talent cultivation. Boviengkham Vongdara highly affirmed and sincerely thanked Guangxi for its strong support and guidance in AI and the digital economy, expressing full confidence in building a China-Laos community with a shared future. Both sides explored next steps for collaboration.

Signing Ceremony: Ushering in a New Phase of China-Laos AI Collaboration

On the morning of April 3, witnessed by Boviengkham Vongdara and Zhao Zhigang, the Laos Ministry of Technology and Communications, CAIH, and Laos ALO Technology Co., Ltd. jointly signed the China-Laos AI Innovation Cooperation Center Construction and Operation Support Agreement, affirming the ministry's support for the center. CAIH and Laos ALO Technology Co., Ltd. formally signed the China-Laos AI Innovation Cooperation Center Construction and Operation Agreement. According to the agreements, both parties will jointly build AI computing infrastructure and a Lao-language large model R&D base, focusing on incubating industry models for healthcare, agriculture, and other fields, and launching the "China-Laos AI Talent Joint Training Program." This signing follows the AI cooperation memorandum of understanding signed between CAIH and Laos ALO Technology in February. After over a month of intensive preparation, the official signing of the project implementation agreement marks a new phase of comprehensive execution for China-Laos digital cooperation.
